3 and 4 year olds

We believe that childhood is to be enjoyed and celebrated. Our key workers work very hard to respond to children’s interests. During each term the staff   plan a balanced programme of child initiated activities and adult initiated activities to ensure children have equal access to all curriculum areas. We encourage children to acquire confidence, develop positive attitudes and relate constructively and harmoniously to other children and adults.

We follow the Governments Early Years Foundation Stage Framework which is mandatory for all early years’ settings. There are six areas of learning :

4. •Knowledge and Understanding of the world

The term prior to your child starting school we work with parents to send a transition report to your child’s reception teacher to support a smooth transition into school.  

The Secret Garden will be offering 15 hours per week early years entitlement, this is offered between 8a.m. and 6pm.

You can claim Early Years Entitlement Funding for your child following their third birthday
