Babies

3 months to 2 years

During your baby’s settling in sessions you will meet your baby’s key worker and the room staff who will be taking care of your baby. It gives you a chance to tell us all about your baby’s needs and preferences and to ask any questions you have about the nursery. We then arrange with you settling in sessions for you to leave your baby prior to starting.

We work very closely with you to get to know your baby and to meet their basic needs of feeding, changing and sleeping .The staff put a high priority on talking to you about your baby’s day at the beginning and end of each session to tell you about your baby’s day .We also keep a diary to keep you informed of your child’s day in the baby room. Key workers are responsible to meet the needs of each child and offer cuddles and reassurance. Working with you will build a close relationship and continuity your baby needs to feel safe and secure.

Babies have their own activity room for play, a sleep area and a sensory room.

Your child will enjoy play experiences that stretch and develop them and most importantly help them to achieve .Our first aim is to ensure that your child is happy and settled.

Your baby will be involved in a broad range of planned activities and spontaneous events which support their development and learning.

Using both the activity and sensory room babies play and learn to use their five senses, to develop co-ordination and to explore their new world and abilities.

We have a large garden for the babies to play in and enjoy the fresh air. We have a range of outdoor play equipment to develop a wide variety of physical skills.
